That is a universal signs of the World construction and existence. A multifunctional image of human knowledge and ideas, that in Latvian (Baltic) culture is found in particularly many old variants. Austra – it is the morning light. Austra tree – the World that is created by light and in centre is the World’s weaver– the Sun and the Sun’s daughters. It is connected with God and his sons, and goddesses Laima and Mara. The World is weaved also by boys and girls – by people.
It expresses and symbolizes peaceful and balanced sense of the world and the brightness of the soul– goodness. Eternal life and infinite youth. Cosmic love and immortality. It attracts the Sun’s power of life – light, beauty, creativity, luck, wealth.
It attracts special divine power of benevolence and protection.
It strengthens the fragility of the soul, emotional empathy and spirituality, as well as – one’s consciousness about eternity in children.
Winter Solstice, The Wells symbol – this symbol is character of endings, completeness, that which forms the void or Sākotne. This mark combines with the top down and the sky with underground water. This sign also heralds a new solar year on the day of the Winter Solstice but that is a Christian tradition of the sun and the world. The original early pagan and shamanic cultures did not honor the sun on the winter solstice, they honored the midnight sun of winter
Sun designs now usually consist of eight parts for the four seasons and half way points between the solstices and equinoxes. We see Sky in day and sky at night, the ancient Latvian folklore specially points that central star is the Goddess Saule. She is the symbol of eternal movement and life. In the line of other stars, Sun Goddess is placed in one of the highest hierarchical rating.
Jumis. Fertility. Well-being, abundance. Fertility. Well-being, abundance. Jumis is the Baltic deity who personify the harvest. The symbol of Jumis is two stylized, crossed corn stalks, a glyph which may be related to the sanskrit word for ‘twin.’ Whatever, this symbol is one of prosperity and good fortune. Usually ornaments of Jumis were woven in men’s belt for prosperity and fertility.

Due to the herbal nature of these candles please, trim the wick (if needed) before lighting, make sure that they burn at least 10cm apart, place on a fire proof dish to catch any burning herbs. And never leave a burning candle unattended.
